Prisoned in My Keep
The dungeon's dampness/mouldy air/mustiness pressed against me, a constant reminder of my imprisonment/confinement/captivity. Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The borders of my home were always like a safe space. Now they constrict, a constant reminder of my limited freedom. Days bleed together, marked only by the tick of the timepiece and the heavy weight in my chest. Every whisper from outside is a cruel reminder of what I miss.
I wander through these unbearable rooms, hoping for some glimpse of light. The sunlight that once fell across my floor now seem distant, and the stillness is heavy.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we knew it has drastically changed. The world beyond our doors is a shadow of its former glory. We are now trapped within the boundaries of our homes, forced to adjust to a new lifestyle. The days blend, marked by the pattern of online meetings, binging media, and eating. We yearn for the simple joys that were once taken for granted: a hike in the park, a cup of tea with friends, or even just a chat without a screen amidst us.
This new situation has created challenges, but it has also revealed unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more patient, more inventive, and more thankful for the simple things in life. As home arrest we navigate this new territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are ahead.
Just Beyond the Six-Foot Mark
Life behind bars is a brutal reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels overwhelming. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem uncertain, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Confined Liberation
The allure for freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to confinement. This happens when the very notion for freedom becomes manipulated, transforming into a weapon for control and domination.
Genuine freedom entails not only the absence of external constraints but also the cultivation of internal strength. When this inner base is lacking, even in a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves ensnared within the boundaries of their own thoughts.
Ultimately, the true measure of freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the barriers that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
